What is classical music? What is jazz? What happens when you mix the two together? What is a concerto? What is a song? Who was George Gershwin? Why is he considered the most popular American composer in the whole World? To find out the answers to these questions, and more, come celebrate the 100th anniversary of Gershwin’s amazing Rhapsody in Blue with the North Country Chamber Players.
Our featured soloist for the Explorers concert will be pianist, EJ Hwang. In addition to being an outstanding jazz pianist, she is also a successful composer, teacher and lecturer. She will be joined by nine musicians for this magnificent performance.
Because of the gracious support of New England Wire Technologies, as well as Kate and Tim Vaughan, the Explorers Concert is a free event and open to the community. The performance will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of the North Country, Lisbon, NH.
