Together, participants will design some container/small space gardens, and start seeds to grow at home and transplant outdoors in the spring. All materials will be provided, as well as plant lists to guide participants during their spring planting.

About the Presenter

Martha “Martie” Cook was a gardener from childhood growing veggies and flowers for sale at a roadside stand. Cook learned the value of using quality materials and the right placement and focused on this concept for 60 years. Cook earned her Master Gardener status in 1989 and worked for several years as seasonal outdoor manager at private nursery as a side-job. For a retirement venture, she owns Garden Now on a volunteer basis to teach people how to grow their own food and ornamentals in small spaces.
