Montgomery has toured with many artists, including Aerosmith, The J. Geils Band, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, The Allman Brothers, The Steve Miller Band, The Johnny Winter Band, The Blues Brothers with (Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd) and others. www.jamesmontgomery.com

New Hampshire’s Juston McKinney returns with lots of new material!!
Juston has two Comedy Central Specials including his own one-hour special and multiple appearances on the Tonight Show, and on Conan O’Brien, but there’s no place like home!
When NH magazine named him “Best of NH” they wrote, “The Granite State may have more famous comedians than you can shake a stick at (Seth Meyers, Sarah Silverman and Adam Sandler to name a few) but no one really “gets” New Hampshire humor like Juston McKinney. He’s been using the state as his comic muse since he was humoring perps as a deputy sheriff on the NH/ME border in the 1990s. Now he’s got TV deals galore and appearances on “The Tonight Show” and Comedy Central.”
His Youtube channel has over a million views, which includes NH favorites such as “Live Free or Die” and “Live Freeze then Die!”.
A regular guest at Jean’s Playhouse, Juston’s shows typically sell out, so purchase your seats now! Check out justonmckinney.com for more info on the comic!
Purchase tickets here. General admission. Rated PG-13. $32 per ticket.

We are so excited and lucky to have received permission to perform this incredible Tony-Award winning piece after its SMASH HIT BROADWAY REVIVAL just closed in January!
The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
Musical Theatre Composer and Legend, Stephen Sondheim takes everyone’s favorite storybook characters and brings them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece that is enchanting and touching for all ages.

On Golden Pond is a classic American comedic drama that’s every bit as touching, warm, and witty today as when it debuted off Broadway in 1978. Retired couple Ethel and Norman Thayer are spending their 48th summer at their vacation home on Golden Pond, in the woods of Maine. Their delightful summer routine – fishing, picking strawberries, enjoying old mementos, listening to the loons call – is given a bitterly comedic edge by Norman’s unreliable memory and cantankerously morbid statements. When their daughter Chelsea visits for Norman’s 80th birthday, bringing her boyfriend Bill and Bill’s teenage son, Billy Jr., the whole family must come to grips with Norman and Chelsea’s mutual bitterness, while Norman blossoms with his chance to mentor young Billy. The turbulent relationship between father and daughter, the generation gap between young and old, and the difficulties of a couple in the twilight years of a long marriage, all combine in a play that effortlessly illustrates the hilarious, heartbreaking, human moments of which life is made.
On Golden Pond is written by VT native Ernest Thompson, who now lives most of the year right here in New Hampshire, very close to where they filmed the 1981 Academy Award Winning film version of the play, starring Henry Fonda, Jane Fonda, and Katherine Hepburn. The movie was filmed on location on both Big Squam and Little Squam Lake, only about 45-minutes away from Jean’s Playhouse! The original house still stands and can be viewed from the water if you know the right place to look. Because of this, On Golden Pond is a beloved classic here in NH.

Comedy Host Greg Boggis is back at the playhouse with another set of fantastic Boston Based comedians for your Labor Day Weekend pleasure!
Host: Greg Boggis
Jean’s Playhouse comic and comedy event producer, Greg Boggis was recently awarded honorable mention in the comedian category by Hippo Magazine and his monthly comedy showcase at Fody’s Tavern in Nashua was named one of the top 5 comedy venues in NH by the website Best in NH. NH favorite from The Strange Name Movie!
Headliner: Carolyn Plummer
Carolyn been doing comedy professionally for over 20 years. I have traveled extensively and to many parts of this country few have dared to venture. I have worked at clubs, colleges, dead animal lodges, theatres and corporations appearing with many of the top headliners in the business. I have participated in numerous festivals including the Burbank Comedy Festival; where I was named Best of the Fest, Boston Comedy Festival and The Women in Comedy Festival. I performed at Denis Leary’s Comics Come Home 26 at the TD Garden for the Cam Neely Foundation. I also won the Woody Herman Jazz award for my trumpet playing abilities but I’m not one to brag. I am a versatile comic who is at home telling jokes in front of nuns or biker dudes. Book me today.
Feature: Bob Niles
Bob has been a popular comedian in New England for more than 25 years, headlining shows at comedy clubs, Elks clubs, Lions clubs, country clubs, Rotary clubs, and just regular traffic rotaries. Niles has lived an unusual life, and when he examines this life for people to see, the results are pure dynamite! Bob was just 20 years old when his first child was born, and his second child came when he was 46!! What happened in between gets looked at and the results are hilarious. From the Woodstock-generation to the 21st century, Niles has been a confused observer and a baffled participant.
