Housed in a 1906 building at The Rocks in scenic Bethlehem, with stunning views of the White Mountains, The New Hampshire Maple Experience is a hands-on educational experience that includes a visit to a working sugar house and interactive museum comprising maple artifacts from the extensive collection of legendary sugar maker Charlie Stewart of nearby Sugar Hill.

Tours are ongoing on the days above from 10 AM to 2 PM, on the hour (10, 11, Noon, 1, 2 PM).

A horse-drawn wagon takes visitors past sugar maple trees with metal buckets gathering sap.Tours include a horse-drawn wagon ride to look at the maple lines; a tractor-drawn ride to the sugar house where you’ll meet a fourth-generation surgarer who will explain the science behind the syrup; a maple tasting with syrup, donuts, and pickles; and the chance to help tap a tree. By the time you leave, you will know how to identify a maple tree, and how to tap and boil the sap in order to make syrup. The Rocks’ maple syrup will also be available for purchase.

Each tour will include up to 16 people and lasts two hours on average.

LOCATION: The Rocks, 4 Christmas Tree Lane, Bethlehem NH 03574

COST: $20 for adults and $18 for children (or $70 per family, maximum of 2 adults and 2 children), with two rides and tasting included.
