The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE, often known as the Elks Lodge or simply The Elks) is a fraternal, charitable and service order founded in 1868. It is one of the leading fraternal orders claiming nearly one million men and women members throughout the United States. The Littleton Elk's Lodge #1831 is always busy with lots of functions including community events, fundraisers and special functions. We have something going on for everyone! Our lodge has a Main function hall, (290 capacity), professional kitchen, and catering available. We have a Member's Lounge with 3 TV's and occational functions, as well as a separate function room w/ 3 pool tables,shuffleboard, & dart boards, and a meeting room. We are set up for weekly bingo with full kitchen availability. There are 3 separate parking lots, RV hookups (with Electricity only) and we accommodate RV parking as well! When you are in the area, or see an event on the calendar, come on in, bring a friend- all are welcome!

The Great Northern District of the Daniel Webster Council of New Hampshire Boy Scouts of America (BSA), supports the programs of the Boy Scouts of America in the northern part of New Hampshire, providing youth membership to boys age 7 -18, and to young men and young women ages 14 - 20 through its Venturing Program. Founded in 1933, the Franconia Ski Club is one of the oldest ski racing organizations in the United States. Roland Peabody, FSC's first President, established the club to provide ski recreation and training for local school children. The Mission of the Franconia Ski Club is to impart the joys of skiing and the life-long lessons of healthy competition to the children of its broad and open membership.The club achieves its mission by providing thoughtful, caring and professional instruction in skiing and ski racing and by supporting and sponsoring all levels of NHARA and USSA Junior racing.

Lafayette Lions Club serves and helps those in need in the Franconia, Sugar Hill, and Easton communities by providing such items as eyeglasses, medical equipment and Holiday food baskets and is very supportive of conservation by taking an active role in revitalizing our community. Such programs include the 4th of July "Old Home Day" Celebration, Roadside Cleanup and Conservation Programs, Medical Equipment for the Elderly & Homebound, Halloween Celebration on the Dow Strip, and Fall Foliage Bus Tour for Lafayette Center Residents, and a Scholarship Program that is awarded each year to deserving graduates of Profile High School.

This legacy fund was originally formed to create a lasting legacy to New Hampshire's most famous symbol, the Old man of rhe Mountain. Updated with a new mission in 2009, the group, in cooperation with Franconia Notch State Park, is working to refresh and renew the "Francomnia Notch Experience" by helping create new and unique experiences for first time and returning visitors, whether they seek strenuous activity, leisurely and reflective pursuits or family outings. Stunning stone works, magnificent views, connected alpine and Notch by-ways and trails, and interactive opportunities in all parts of the Park’s environment will make it a destination to be visited again and again.

One of the most photographed churches in New England, St. Matthew's is noted for its simple, dignified architecture. An historic Episcopal Chapel, St. Matthew's Chapel offers summer services in July, August and the first Sunday in September at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Located on Route 117 at the corner of Birches Road in Sugar Hill, the Chapel is available from May through October for weddings, baptisms, and memorial services, to be celebrated by your own clergyperson. The building may also be rented for other functions such as musical events. Willing Workers has their Annual July Sale at the Meetinghouse in Sugar Hill on July 24, 2010 where local, visitors and guests will find many unique collectibles, wonderful craft items and a host of home-baked goods. The sale is held from 10am-1:30pm, and a tasty lunch is available. The other fundraiser very popular with charitable giving, is the Society's Annual Christmas Sale in November!
