Shopping
Shopping in New Hampshire's White Mountains is an adventure that will reward you with its unique treasures from a wide array of homemade, homegrown and handcrafted items, arts and crafts, and genuine antiques. Eclectic gift and souvenir shops line the picturesque Main Streets of Franconia, Sugar Hill, Littleton, and Bethlehem, which are set along side places to shop for hardware supplies, recreational needs and the traditional general store that has it all, especially for those seeking to replenish their backpacks, hampers and campers.
A Franconia Notch Region shopping experience can be as convenient as finding the item you forgot to pack, to finding the right gift or souvenir, the homemade gourmet treats or a piece of the area's history to take home with you. Paintings and pictures of area icons, adventures and discoveries abound as permanent souvenirs. Perhaps nothing says it better than the array of postcards depicting your visit to send others that "wish you were here" message- or to take home to remind yourself why you must return.
And there is more Classic Main Street shopping in surrounding communities. A variety of Made in New Hampshire and renowned specialty shops are only 10-15 minutes away in every direction. Extended stay visitors and newly relocated families can also find the merchandise and amenities of household maintenance and lifestyles in an assortment of choices, stores, and outlets. Shop to enhance the quality of your stay, play, vacation or visit. It's tax free New Hampshire, remember?
