Franconia Notch Guest House

Nestled in the majestic White Mountains, and just a stone’s throw to Franconia Notch, this gem is the perfect beginning to an incredible experience for the guest who desires to explore and discover this wondrous area in any season..

Franconia Notch Guest House is not your traditional B&B.

Although attached to the main house, the Guest House and its 4 well appointed rooms with private baths along with the grand room and breakfast area, are completely separate with its own entrance affording privacy.

Tom and Pauline Palmer are very familiar with hospitality having successfully owned a popular motel in Franconia for many years before selling in 2008. They cherish their memories and friendships that have nurtured from their experience and stay connected with most guests..…They dabbled in real estate while owning the motel and decided to work full time at it after selling the 23 room motel and lodge. While both continue to immensely enjoy the interaction with folks and helping them find their dream home in this incredibly beautiful area, they never quite got over the hospitality piece missing from their world…So when the opportunity came along to purchase a beautiful old post and beam home in need of lots of love, but full of character with all the ingredients for a perfect recipe, they pursued their dream on a smaller scale.. and Tom began his year of renovations with their visions in tow. “At the end of the day when we unwind on the beautiful covered porch created from stone and hand-hewed beams soaking in the stellar views of the Franconia Notch and surrounding mountains , an inner peace comes over us and all is well..” says Pauline. Tom chimes in with “To see the amazing mountain views upon opening my eyes each morning is a gift I don’t take lightly”

The Guest House offers comfortable accommodations in newly renovated rooms with breathtaking views from every window. After a day of skiing, hiking, leaf-peeping or any of the other many activities this incredibly gorgeous area offers, unwind in the greatroom by the fireplace or take a moonlit stroll. After a restful night’s sleep you’ll find a simple yet hearty and nutritional country buffet style breakfast awaits you in a casual and unpretentious atmosphere to start your day off right! If you haven’t quite figured out which direction to start off in, no worries, Tom and Pauline pride themselves on their knowledge of the area and will guide you to a memorable stay!
